Triple Ironman Goal

$100,000

The Triple Ironman is raising $100,000 for teen mental health — part of Live Up's $500,000 project-wide goal for the year.

WHAT IT TAKES

A Triple Ironman is a full Ironman-distance triathlon, tripled and done continuosly.  A 7.2 mile swim followed by a 336 mile ride and a 78.6 mile run done continuosly without planned rest — the hardest endurance event most people have ever heard of, and one that only a handful of athletes on Earth have ever finished.

Swim

7.2 mi

3 × 2.4-mile swims — the length of Lake Nokomis, twice over, in open water.

Bike

336 mi

3 × 112-mile rides — across Minnesota and back, three times.

Run

78.6 mi

3 × 26.2-mile marathons — on legs that have already covered hundreds of miles.

Where it started

A NEW CHALLENGE ON THE HORIZON

When a double Ironman was accomplished in 2019, it proved what an ordinary person can endure. Now the horizon has moved — and Live Up's founding athlete, Darby Voeks, is taking on the next impossible step.

Every mile is a message to a teenager somewhere: someone cared enough to suffer for them. That's what the Live Up Project is — a community enduring hard things to end hopelessness among teens.

Founding athlete

DARBY VOEKS

Darby is taking on the Triple Ironman as Live Up's founding athlete — 422 miles of swim, bike, and run to launch the movement.

YOUR HARD THING COUNTS

You don't need a Triple Ironman. You need a challenge that takes you out of your comfort zone — and a community that will show up behind you.
